This is not commercial email, this is a courtesy notice of the risk and
threat to your computers, and the threat you pose to other persons'
computers.
Just today, my PC has repelled 4 virus attached emails.
Just this week I have battled viruses for four customers. Today is
still just Monday.
I'm sending this to you as a courtesy as my customer or friend to advise
you that if you have any kind of internet connection and do not have a
virus scanner updated daily, then you are risk of damaging not only your
own PC, but the PCs of anyone else on the internet.
That's right. You are a danger to everyone else on the 'net if you do
not have virus protection. Your virus infested PC, perhaps without you
even knowing it is happening, could be using other people's resources on
the net, and possibly harming their PCs.
Please apply up to date virus protection right away! It's cheap, dirt
cheap, next to all the expenses of recovering your PC. I have had a
number of customers lately suffer notable expenses for failing to
protect their computers.
I think the rule of thumb to follow is this...if you are unwilling to
protect your PC, then you should be unwilling to log in to the internet.
The damage you will do to yourself or someone else is far greater than
the price of protection.
If you need assistance with protecting your PCs, I can help, and so can
huge numbers of other geeks. Get help, if you need it. But don't go
unprotected...your cost will be very high....your money cost, your time
cost, your reputation cost...
There are a number of places to get protective software. Try
www.symantec.com and www.mcafee.com for starters.
