[TCARC-NTX] "New Ham" Class offered

The Tri-County ARC is offering a class for candidate Amateur Radio
Operators.

If you have recently become a ham and want to brush up with a formal class,
or if you want to become an amateur radio operator by preparing for the
examination, then this is for you.

This class is a one day event which will equip you with much information and
introduction to Amateur Radio, and will provide materials for self study to
obtain your license.

Notice:  There will be a VE Test Session the following Saturday at the
ARC-PC Weatherford Hamfest.  This is your chance to get a ham license in a
week.

Introduction To Amateur Radio Class
Cost:  Free
Location:  820 Wood Lane, Azle
Plan B Location has been arranged in case of overflow.
Saturday March 15, 2003 from 9am to 5pm with a 45 minute lunch break.

BRING YOUR LUNCH.  You can leave for lunch if you want, but we might use
that time for additional demonstrations you might want to see.  BRING
notebook and pen to take notes with.

CALLING ALL TCARC Members:
Veteran Hams are requested to volunteer to present material, provide
functional demonstrations, or to be on hand to ELMER the candidates as
needed.
