[TCARC-NTX] Free TECH Course Sat Aug 9

Hi,

N5QU Jim and KB5YLG David, along with the Tri-County Amateur Radio Club
WC5C, and the KM5TT W5YI test team are giving a free TECHNICIAN CLASS
license prep cram session on Saturday Aug 9.

This class is being hosted by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day
Saints at 5001 Altamesa Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76133-6001.  This class
will not address any religious content, the facility is just being
provided by the church as courtesy.  All interested amateur radio
candidates are invited!  Yes, if you want to attend you are invited,
until we fill the available space!  No charge!

Bring note taking equipment (notebook, paper, pencils, maybe a
calculator).

The class stats at 9am and goes straight thru 5pm.  Bring your sack
lunch.  At 5pm a test session will commence for those feeling
comfortable enough to take the test.  Tests are $12.

If you intend to take any test (tech, general, extra, morse) please
bring any license you may already have original and a photo copy, photo
government ID (drivers license, etc)with photocopy and any previous csce
you may have.

The exam starts at 5pm, so if you don't come for the class you are still
invited for the exam session.  All area W5YI VEs are requested to
attend.  Other amateur operators interested in assisting as elmers or
observers for the day are requested to attend.

The exam will be a W5YI VEC team coordinated exam.

We strongly recommend you take multiple practice tests before Saturday
(for instance on www.qrz.com), to help insure your success.
