Jim, for ID purposes, you do not need to give the Technician portion.
By the configuration of your 2-by-3 callsign, we will assume you are a
technician. I lso have a2x3 and people assume I'm a technician,
although I'm actually an extra class and simply elected to keep my
original callsign, since everyone knows me by it.

You may go on the air in your allowed frequency ranges. Often our club
members monitor 147.16 repeater, and we have anet on Thursday nights at
8pm on it.

Subject: Ham license and call

David,

I found my license and call on the web tonight. It is KD5VXH
(Technician). Not sure if I would have to give the "Technician" bit
over the air. I will if needed. The paper license has not arrived yet
but most likely will this week. The license was issued March 27.

    Until later.
    Jim
