[TCARC-NTx] January Meeting

The January meeting of the Tri-County Amateur Radio Club is tomorrow night
Saturday, January 5 at 6PM (dinner, 7PM meeting) at El Paseo Mexican
Restaurant in Azle.

I got a call from El Paseo late this afternoon, and they asked if we would
consider moving our meeting to the regular restaurant part, under the overhang
as we have done a couple of times before.  They had a party inquiring about
using the banquet room, but would not commit to them until they talked to me.

I made the deal with them, that we would move out of the banquet room Saturday
night, as a gesture of thanks for their continued support in hosting us.  I
reminded them that it was very difficult to hold the meeting in the regular
eating area due to the noise.  I also asked if they would be interested in an
offer to us for the inconvenience, and they said that they will have open bar
and a 10% discount on the meals.  They also said that they could turn down the
music during our meeting period to help reduce the noise.  They will also talk
to the party that will be using the banquet room to let them know that it was
our gesture that allows them to use the room, and that they might want to
thank us for our trouble.

Since I didn't have Daryl's phone number handy at work, I went ahead and made
this arrangement.  I hope you all understand.  Please join us downstairs for
the meeting Saturday night.
