[TCARC-NTx] Equestrian Event

All,

Here is some specific information for the Horse and Buggy event this March 2.

The location is on CR 3585 about 1 mile South from Cottondale.  I can provide
more specific directions from your origin and we can talk in on the Azle
repeater.

So far, I have 6 volunteers:

I will run the net control and dispatch observers from the club trailer.  We
can get the trailer there again, right?

We need 3 volunteers, one to "shadow" Donna, one for the judge, and one for
the technical delegate.  These 3 plus net control and one or two observers
should be there by 0800.

Others will be used as observers at each event, to provide H&W communication
as needed.

We need a minumum of 5 observers for the main event, the obstacle course,
which starts at 12:30PM.  We will have an observer at each obstacle.

Please state your preference, if you would like to be a "shadow" or an
observer.

The total minimum separate posts we need to man are 9, so we need at least 3
more volunteers to make this work well.

Write back to me preferably via the reflector ASAP if you plan to help, so you
can get your choice of position and we can plan how many volunteers we have.

C'mon out, you will have a lot of fun and it serves not only the purpose of
amateur radio but as an excercise in field communications when the time comes
for our club to help out in an emergency.
