The meeting was called to order at 1934 hours by President Daryl.
Daryl acknowledged Thomas as a new ham, callsign KD5UEP.
C.J. was not present, the minutes from the November meeting were read by
Jerry. Motion to accept the minutes as read by David, seconded by Joel, the
motion passed.
The Treasurer's report was read by Jeremy:
Beginning balance $2680.07
November pass the hat netted $22.00
Account interest $3.00
Deposits of $25.12
QSL.NET paid donation -$100.00 for web page and reflector hosting
New balance $2605.19
Motion to accept by Shura, seconded by Joel, motion passed.
Daryl mentioned the following:
He is working on lining up Dick Ellis for a presentation on maritime radio,
possibly for the January meeting.
He received an email from Radio Shack and plans to send samples of the club
brochure and discuss the next step for distribution of the brochure.
He has spent $20.00 so far for mailouts and estimates to use the full $200.00
allotted. He will mail club brochures and business cards, with an note
inviting the recipients to the next club meeting.
Announcements:
SkyWarn day was today (December 7), David took the trailer out to the NWS for
the Boy Scout troop to use and will retrieve it tomorrow (Sunday). No other
club members were present at the event.
Second Saturday of the month is the sidewalk sale at Hardins.
On shortwave broadcast frequency 9.745MHz on Wednesdays at 2315 hours (local?)
is the Ham Radio Today program, good listening.
SkyWarn training is the last Saturday in January, it will probably be held at
the North Richland Hills site again and is recommended as a good program.
The facility is booked for NCTECH, committee to be formed.
EOC tower installation is still awaiting the guy posts to be set by the city
of Azle.
OLD BUSINESS
- David has updated the web site.
- We are working with Keith KD5IPL to get a sign put on the club trailer,
David will contact Keith.
- $100.00 was donated to QSL.NET as mentioned in the Treasurer's report.
NEW BUSINESS
- The club Christmas party will be next Saturday (December 14) as the QTH of
Jerry N0JY and Shura KD5FCQ. Jerry will email directions. Everyone bring a
potluck dish. Do we need a signup? Email directions will include
instructions to respond with what dish you will bring, and bring your own
beverage. The party will start at 5PM. There will be a Chinese gift
exchange, bring a wrapped present to participate. Smoking is allowed outside.
- Discussion of a club picnic will be held later, suggestions included holding
it in the park in Azle and bringing the club trailer and radios.
- David is redesigning the web page and it should be completed next week.

- Discussion was held looking for volunteers for phone callup for the club
meeting reminder, split up the membership list for several to call.
ELECTIONS
A discussion was held regarding a change of the election meeting to sometime
mid-year account turnout, will continue the discussion at a later meeting.
- For President, Jerry nominated Daryl (KC5SLQ) and David seconded. Daryl was
elected.
- For Vice President/Treasurer, Shura nominated David (KB5YLG) and Joel
seconded. David was elected.
- For Secretary, David nominated Jerry (N0JY) and Daryl seconded, Jerry was
elected.
- David said he will delegate the Treasurer duties to C.J. so that she may
continue her excellent work.
There was no door prize drawing at this meeting.
Pass the hat netted $9.00.
Shura motioned to adjourn, Jeremy seconded, meeting adjourned at 2009 hours.
