[TCARA] Big Thicket Bike Tour Needs Volunteer Operators - March 16, 2013

Hello TCARA Members,



Rocky Wilson, N5MTX, is looking for volunteer operators to assist with this
years Big Thicket Bike Tour.  The details are below. Please contact Rocky

*Big Thicket Bike Tour (March 16th) operators needed. BTBT Event Date is:
3/16/2013 in Hardin and Tyler Counties*****

Needing 10 or more operators for the positions available on the attached
assignment sheet.****

Needing 2 or more SAG vehicles with operators, also needing Rest Stop
operators and a backup for Net Control.****

If you have never operated or volunteered for an event as the Big Thicket
Bike Tour we can give you the experience and****

opportunity to learn and participate by letting you operate with
experienced operators. So let me know if you are interested!****

If you are interested and would like to volunteer for any of these
positions please contact Rocky Wilson at 409-988-8906.****

Official Big Thicket Bike Tour Start time is 8:00AM and the courses close
at 4:00PM. Riders to check in at 7:00AM.****

Rest Stop operators need to be at your assignment by 7:30AM and report to
Net Control of your status and complete a comm. test.****

SAG vehicle operators need to be at Start/Stop location (Big Thicket
Baptist Church) between 6:30AM & 7:00AM to get assignments and****

pick up SAG equipment & ID. Your SAG vehicle must be marked and identified!*

RS #1 is at the First Baptist Church in Warren.****

It is just passed the 1943 – 96 corner. We will use this RS twice.****

RS #2 same as last year on 2992 at the Big Thicket picnic area.****

** **

RS #3 Church in Fred at 20468 US 92.****

** **

RS #4 Read Ice in Kountze Same as last year****

** **

RS #5 Silsbee Chamber of Commerce****

545 North 5th St. this is about 2 blocks north of last years stop.****

RS #6 Kountze Park same as last year****

** **

*Repeaters Used:* 145.230 103.5 PL - Kountze and 146.980 103.5 PL - Devers**
