[TARA] Starting The Semester

Hey all,

It is that time of year again: club rooster and meeting time. Below is a 
form that asks about what times you all would want to meet and where you 
are in the field of amateur radio. Please fill it out using your @nmt 
email as the first section of the form serves as the club rooster to be 
submitted to the SGA. If you do not have a @nmt email, then you can use 
your personal one. The club packets are due this Friday so try to fill 
out the form as soon as you can.

And speaking of club packets, we are looking for officers if anyone is 
interested.


We will talk more about this during our first meting, but I will give a 
quick overview of some plans this semester. First, there will be a 
testing session here in Socorro later this semester for new people to 
get licensed and existing licensees to advance. When the time draws 
closer, we will be holding cram sessions. Second, the weather station 
project is still on the table for anyone interested. I will work on it 
some myself, but I would also like any of you to get involved. Third, if 
you can get enough licensed members interested, we will hold an open 
net, possible with a buddy system so that non-licensed members can 
participate. Finally for now, we are in the process of putting up a new 
antenna for our club station and when everything is set up, I would like 
to have times where you all can come by and experience HF operation.
