Hello Everyone, I hope you had a great break, and look forward to the club
this semester. We have a bunch of new radio frequency equipment donated,
and have a few ideas planned for the semester.
Last semester lots of people could not make the meetings due to timing. To
try to help this semester, I created a doodle poll at the following link. I
would encourage you to fill this out in order to pick the best date for
club meetings.

As you might see, I have created a mailman eMail list using the qsl.net ham
radio website in order to encourage participation with e-mails. If you want
to ask a question or post to the whole group to get more exposure, please
send to:
TARA at mailman.qth.net
If you want a message specifically directed to TARA officers with email
login, please send to:
tara.club at npe.nmt.edu
Last, I have created a new website which should work for now. Mainly to
give it more of a modern look, and simplify. The website is at:
nmt.edu/~tara.
I look forward to a new semester of experimenting with leading edge
wireless and really am looking forward to install of the 440MHz repeater
giving socorro-wide handheld radio coverage. - With a cheap Baofeng
Transceiver from amazon, and a radio license, you will be able to talk to
other students through RF and to the world through AllStar link, IRLP and
EchoLink.
