Slow NS
SNS continues this week.
Announcing the NCCC's (Northern California Contest Club) weekly Thursday
night running of the SNS.
The Slow Speed NS practice is from 0200z to 0215z (Friday UTC, Thursday
local time). That's starting at 9:00pm EDT, 8:00pm CDT, 7:00pm MDT and
6:00pm PDT, local time Thursday.
Bands will be 40 and 80 meters (around 3537 to 3543 and 7037 to 7043).
(Slight frequency adjustment to coincide with where operations occur).
In the SNS dupes are allowed so you are allowed to work the same station
again as long as you have called a CQ in between.
NS
Starting this week Ken, N6RO begins his very deserved NS Vacation after
a long stretch of shepherding these weekly NCCC practice events.
Thanks, Ken, for a superb and sustained effort.
The NCCC Sprint Ladder competition begins Apr 3rd for a 14-week session,
details of which are still being worked out. Look forward to another
year of NS Ladder Spring and Summer fun. We've added two team members
to the NS Ladder Board, Ted, W4NZ, replacing K3STX, and our first
Canadian member, Chris VA3NR.
This week , Mar 27 UTC, we'll have the NS Practice session using 4 bands
and the posted NS Rules. It's a good chance for final tune-up prior to
the start of the Ladder. For this practice the QSY rule is 1 KHz and
the suggested frequencies are around 14040, 7040, 3540 and 1812.
Remember to spread out!
WA7BNM may have a score reporting form but if not you are welcome to
send score reports directly to n6zfo at arrl.net <mailto:n6zfo at arrl.net>.
We'll post a summary message to CQ-Contest Reflector.
As always, we welcome comments and suggestions for the NS and NS Ladder.
