Great report, Hank.

The only exception I would make is in the statement that ended with, "...competition between US and British Hams is fierce."

I usually think of fierce competition as being undertaken by those who would stretch the rules, pad the scores, and walk gladly on their competitors.  This, of course, isn't done in the Ham arena...  Wait a minute, I'm going taking the wrong argument for Ham Radio.
