The Spiderbeam is 99% completed. It took probably 10 - 14 hours to
put it all together. At this point it is 10/15/20 meters.
This afternoon Ian and I raised it up about 15' and checked it with the
MFJ antenna analyzer. 20 & 15 were good on CW and 10 was high
SWR, but I found some element spacing errors, so that may be ok now.
Once it is complete I would like to get three or four of us together and
take it to a local park and put it together and raise it on one of my 30
foot masts. Also the TA-33JR and use a couple of HF mobiles to
check them out. We could also put up the 40M half squares and
check them out also.
That should take a good 6 hours, but that way there would be more
than one or two who know how to put everything together and make
it work. Probably the best bet would be Greg, Stan, Ian and me
because we are the closest. Most any time is good for me most
weekends are good too.
