Some thoughts about our antenna plans for FP:

On 40 meters we've talked about half-squares (essentially to 33'
verticals spaced 70' apart; wire running from top of one to top of
other).

Will this be durable enuff in the high winds? If you use a heavier wire
(#14) you will be "pulling" the tops of the masts sideways; if you use a
lighter wire you stand the chance to have it snap in the constant winds.
Any thoughts?

Also...one other option is still a 4 square array. Coax weight is one
thing...I think we've already made plans to haul the 300' of coax
needed. The problem with the 4 square is that you would also need 300'
of control line (weight). Phone wire is probably OK...but the weight on
some of our items is starting to add up. However, I do have the box and
could have all the phase lines pre-made if we decide to go this route.

Ted: Any thoughts on the B&W antenna I sent you?

One thought is to use the B&W and the BC special on both 80 and
160.....swapping off each hour.....??? Other thought...BC special on
160......take one HF2V for 80 and dump the big loading coil.....top load
with 33' of horizontal wire running sideways to our tower with TA33 beam
on it. An "L" vertical with 33' vert and 33' horiz will be a big gun on
80...guaranteed.

Man....the high bands have been poor lately...not much on 20 either. An
occasional UA0 shows up in the evening on 20. Honestly, 40 hasn't been
much better some evenings.
