-Got the gun case and mast/DK9SQ from Hank on Saturday. It is packed
well and has two straps, tie wraps as well as the fasteners on the case.
-My suitcase has the 500' of coax; two phasing lines for 40 meter vert,
RCS4 coax switch, keyer paddle, 40 meter Alpha-Delta dipole, 2 lbs of
misc tools plus audio/coax adapters, and misc clothes MINUS any shirts
or shoes...and already weighs 51 lbs!

-Regarding luggage:
***Detroit to Halifax
-two suitcases at 50 lbs each
-one carry on at 40 lbs
-overweight luggage at 20 lbs for $25

***Halifax to St Pierre
-Is it one or two suitcases at 25 kg each (approx 55 lbs)??? (Anyone?)
-One carry on at 12 lbs
-Overweight luggage at $1.20/lb

-Some items that some (but not all) need to bring:
Tape measure
Electrical tape
Pliers
Cutters
Solder
Soldering iron
Wrenches
Sledge hammer (Duck)
Coax adapters
SWR bridge
Audio/coax adapters (I suspect we should all bring an assortment)
Screw driver
Small (jewelers) screw drivers
RG8X jumpers (we have filters and amps to put in line)
Flashlight
AC extension cords
Etc etc

-Duck also makes the good point that we should inventory everything
except clothes for the customs folks...especially SN on rigs/computers
-One other Duck suggestion is to include a bunch of tie wraps in the gun
cases so that customs can seal them again.
