I have two of the DK9SQ 33' masts that Bill sells for $99, Stan has one
and for all three of them we have one section of extension to make them
42" (I think) longer.
For the price they are **absolutely** great, and we would not think of
going without them!
I also have two 33' military masts -
One is aluminum from The Mast Company - take a look at them on
http://www.tmastco.com/
It should hold up a TA33jr or 3 to 5 element 6M yagi
The other one I got at Dayton - Fiberglass. Very good quality, from a
group in Rochester, NY
It will hold up a dipole with no problem but not a yagi.
Three of these will hold up most any dipole you want to put up.
Stan and I have used the DK9SQ masts from the Ile de France hotel in St
Pierre twice and pushed up to about 25' or so they will hold up the
center of a dipole or G5RV. We used one in V47 to hold up the sagging
center of a 102' G5RV and another one to hold up a 10M dipole on the
second floor balcony.
Four of them would be great for a 40M four square, but two of them
spaced 70' apart ..... I don't know - I think the top would try to bend
at a right angle and snap.
Between Stan and I, we have three of them and can look at this Aug 21
after the Lapeer Swap.
