A couple of things that I forgot yestyerday, There is a Ten Tec 291 tuner.
It is probably good for 100-200 watts.
Also the ground there is mostly rocks and gravel. To anchor our antennas we
tie on to a rock. They are all over on the ground between the motel and the
water. If we cant find enough larger ones (10-15 lbs) there are several
reinforced plastic bags with the stuff there. You can just put a bunch of
smaller rocks in the bag and then tie the guy to the bag. We have also done
that using 2 or 3 grocery bags inside of each other and then fill them with
rocks.
I think that you will run into much more wind than we do in the summer.
The VE7 guys that were there last October left some rebar that they used for
stakes to hold their antennas. I am not sure where that stuff is. Probably
in the basement of the motel. You would need a good (big) hammer to drive
anything in the ground there.
If I think of anything else I will try to remember to pass it along.
