K8JM will be QRV in the SSCW as a multi-op.
Tentatively K8DD, K8MV, K8JM and (I think) AC8W will be on board. That was
last years' lineup anyway.
All TAC folks are welcome to stop by, and should someone have an interest,
we'll save a seat at the operating position for you.
We may work the 10 meter contest as a multi-op if there is any interest, and
my wife is well enough after her back surgery to handle the people coming
and going.
K8JM and K8MV are considering a pair of single-op, single band entries from
K8JM for the CQWW-CW.
Perhaps K8JM single band 80 or 40, and K8MV single band 20, 15 or 10. (or
vice-versa) TBD.
I particularly like multi-op or single band contests because I can get some
sleep.
Again, all TAC folks are welcome to stop by.
I'm not a phone operator (or contester) but I'm not opposed to having
somebody "guest-op" in some of the upcoming phone contests if there is any
interest.
I'm willing to open up my station to TAC folks to help gain experience in
contesting.
I would also gladly help anybody improve their CW operating skills.
I would also suggest a TAC "calling frequency" either on 2 meters or 440.
I monitor the Lapeer "Channel 62" repeater on my trips back and forth to
work, and while I'm in town, but I don't hear much activity.
(The activity I DO hear generally makes me wonder why I bother to listen
however.....)
The 440 repeater appears to have pretty good coverage, but few (if any)
users.
How about 145.670 on 2 meters or the 440 repeater? (at least until the
CB'ers with callsigns get cranked up and start complaining....)
