A long time ago I used some 6LB6's to replace 8950's in 700cx. Worked just fine.

Working on my 700cx , found a bad 8950 output. Never realized how high prices
have become on these tubes. I read of a change over to another tube ,just the
same as the 8950 but has 6v filaments. Any one have any comment about the change
over ,from what I have read ,its just a matter of some simple re wiring of the
filaments pins.
Also does anyone have a e mail address for john Bruchey,if he has one. Is there
anyone else That could do a complete alignment on this 700cx. I no longer have a
good enought bench to do the job.
thanks
