Howard,
Very helpful information, Thank you. I went back tonight after some 
thought and with the sig gen on 50mhz checked my Kenwood TS-140S with 6 
meter converter for signal strength at different levels. I listed my 
results and then went back to the 250C with the same set up. My results 
 from this test showed better sensitivity than that received from the 
Kenwood. I do know the Kenwood with the converter is fair at best but 
this shows some signs of improvement. I buttoned up the 250C, moved it 
over to the operating position and connected it to the antenna. Now all 
I need is for some 6 meter signals to come along for a OTA test. That 
may take some time to complete. The mixer seems to show attenuation of 
the injected 10.9mhz IF signal instead of any gain. I do have a new 
mixer tube on the way and will be swapping it to see what happens. If 
all goes well the next step will be TX......
