David,

Try "ftp://bama.sbc.edu/downloads/swan/700cx/700cx.pdf" for a manual if you
don't have one.

Also try "http://6mt.com/swan.htm" for lots of good information on Swan
gear.

Mouser Electronics is a good source for the electrolytics. You can clip the
leads off the original chassis-mounted ones and connect new axial lead caps
to the original terminations underneath the chassis. I use 450 VDC
electrolytics when I recap my supplies.

Check the diodes with a modern volt meter. Most all have a diode continuity
check function. Mouser is also a good source for the diodes.

Just take your time and be mindful of the voltages you're dealing with if
you need to troubleshoot the radio itself.

Have fun.

Hi Karl,

I appreciate your answer! I don't have another power supply! I'll take the
caps and the diodes loose and check them! Is there some idea you have about
anything special to replace them with assuming I will find something bad?
Probably should replace the caps while I have it apart wouldn't you say?
They couldn't be that costly.

Thanks, 73s
