Dave - I'm just very, very surprised.  I don't think it has ever been used,
so I am just in a mild state of shock.  When I turned it on, it has that
never used smell.  But it sure is a job to tune up.  The instruction manual
has several mistakes, one big one, is that although it is for the HF-700S,
it refers to it in some places as the 700-S, but in others, as the 750-CW.
Also, it refers to a "Plate Tune"  but there is no such knob.  I think they
mean "PA Plate."  If you have a fax, I can fax you, or hopefully I will
figure out what is wrong with my scanner.  Tom
