Joe, I have a 700 with the SS16 filter. The filter is quite narrow,
and when first tried the audio on receive and transmit in USB was
shifted in the filter bandpass, i.e. too many lows and not enough highs.
Shifting the carrier frequency a bit took care of this. Presumably the
carrier oscillator, filter center frequency or both drift a bit over the
years.
