[Swan] Questions on the 350

Are Swan 350's prone to audio distortion on strong
signals with the RF gain all the way open? I
noticed the manual mentions to run the RF gain at
3 o'clock, however at this position, there doesn't
seem to be enough gain for the weaker signals.
With the RF gain all the way up, I hear some audio
distortion on strong signals, say +20 and over..
If this is a normal condition or abnormal, I'd
like to hear some comments..

I'm also looking for a replacement 5172.8 KC
crystal for the carrier osc.. Mine was reading
about 2 KC high, and I think this could be part of
the AGC problem. Does anybody have an extra
crystal for sale or, could tell me what the load
capacitance should be?
