[Swan] Question on Swan 1200X Amplifier

I have begun working on a 1200X amplifier and have a couple of questions
someone may know the answers to. When I got this amp (used of course) it
had a copy of a manual with it. In looking thru the manual to begin working
on this, it showed the amp using 8950 tubes. But the pin count on the tube
base is only for 9 pins, so I am assuming this is a typical 6LQ6 amplifier
of that era.
In looking the amp over, besides the tube layout being different, it appears
the bias circuit is slightly different also. Mine is SN 5093 as I recall.
The 8950 version shows three diodes coming from the 12 vac supply using caps
and resistors in the appropriate places, and then going thru a 5K pot for
adjustment. The version I have only uses two diodes and does not have a pot
adjustment. It appears just to go to the 100 ohm resistors used in the grid
circuit. Is the additional diode and pot adjustment a later mod they did to
improve the bias control?
If anyone has one of the old manuals/schematics they wouldn't mind making a
copy of or emailing if you have it scanned would be a big help. I'd cover
the mailing, copying costs of course. The voltages all appear to work, but
I am not sure I want to burn a set of tubes until I find out more about the
bias circuit in particular.
Are there any Swan guys left out there that may be familiar with this rig
and can give me some pointers, info on the unit?
Thanks in advance gang,
Dennis, NU8S
