Hi All,
I have completed Revision 2.0 of the Swan Compendium ( previous versions,
Revs 0 - 1.1), initially issued July 2001. This document attempts to
provide an organized summary of the collective, wisdom of a many, many Swan
users (especially Stu, the Swan Controllers, and all maintaining the Swan
Website and contributing to the Swan Newsletter) and other "boatanchor"
enthusiasts. The update remains focused on tube design transceivers and
retains the same format (8.5" x 11") - double sided copy using 9 pt font,
staple bound on left edge, with heavier card stock front and back covers..
It has grown from about 100 pages to about 150 pages. This revision
includes some re-organization to more closely group information into logical
categories and adds information that has been accumulated from the various
Swan-Net Reflector correspondence, On-Air Nets, and other sources during the
past year. A summary of the major paragraph headings (to 2nd level
paragraph heading to size) and Figures and Tables are listed on the
following webpage. You may get an idea of content by viewing this
information.

The rate of new information has decreased significantly lately, so this will
be the last update for probably a few years, however, Errata to Rev 2.0 and
new additional information (referenced to the Rev 2.0 paragraph numbers)
will be periodically updated on the following webpage, so that a complete
update for Revision 2.0 can be maintained.

So, same offer as last year, the Compendium is being distributed for cost of
production, duplication, and mailing. If you would like a copy, just follow
the three steps listed below to minimize the hassle factor on this end. All
copies will go out via "Media Mail" (also known as book rate) once a week,
as this is much cheaper and looks like it is just about as fast as first
class mail. A time limit on requests is included to fix an end date to the
aggravation of distribution. Please note that you are free to make
additional copies as needed - the only restriction is that the document may
not be reproduced and sold for a profit (other than reimbursement for the
direct costs of duplication and mailing).
1. Send Requests so they are received by me ON or BEFORE 15 DEC, 2002.
2. INCLUDE A 1 1/2" by 3" (or there about) paper/card/label suitable for
taping to the envelope with your Name and Address CLEARLY printed - this
will serve as your mailing label.
3. SEND PAYMENT of $11.00 (personal check is fine) the cost of production,
reproduction and mailing to:
