Greetings from Tucson:

I am a new subscriber and require some information. First I have the
Standard model C288A 220 mhz portable rig with the model CNB 184 6.0 volt
700mAh battery and desktop charger. I am currently trying to locate the
original Owners Instruction booklet which I know I still have somewhere
around this Shack.

Here's the problem: Apparently there are/were two companies named Standard.
One based in Southern California and the other [where my model came from] I
seem to recall, in Ohio. I have tried to find a replacement battery [CNB
184] and thus far no one has a similar battery available for this radio
so.....

HELP!

Any ideas on this radio and/or where can I get a new battery? I will
continue to look for the booklet on this rig as I want to place this HT back
in usuable service [I am building a 220 remotebase that will be wired into
our 900 mhz repeater]......Thanks for any input on the HT!
