[Spooks] HM01's "vacation" is apparently over.....

As of Feb 25, 2015 (0500 UTC), HM01 'finally' had an update, its first since Feb. 17. The length of time simply using the previous transmission seems to indicate that The Cuban Lady's voice machine must have broken sometime between Feb 17 and Feb 18 (05 UT - 05 UT), and needed a replacement part of some kind. (Those machines, due to their age and original manufacture location -- apparently the former Communist East Germany -- must make it difficult to procure those parts in the 21st Century....)

Let me give some credit to Daniel Ekmann (danix111 at priyom.org) for noticing where the 06 UT transmission (Tu, Th, Sa) has apparently returned to: the formerly used 14375 kHz (!), which provides a very strong signal to the Eastern US (at least my part of it). But let me point out to him that even the world famous Glenn Hauser had monitored a broadcast of HM01 on 9330 kHz during the 06 UT hour around January 18th or so (a transmission or so after I had mentioned it either on UDXF or this list. Glenn's report should be available through the World of Radio website or the World of Radio Yahoo group archives.)

Just to bring the list up to date, here goes:

02/25/2015 HM01  05 UT 5855 (audio very poor due to WRMI @ 5850, so no numbers could be verified, but I did hear the tones, so I know it was there....)

Note that #'s 3 and 4 for the 26th have all five digits the same, just in a different order. (This may mean NOTHING, but it maybe something to ponder given the [previous?] use of numbers to mean certain Spanish letters -- as revealed in the infamous Montes case.)       

And I was secretly hoping that as part of the Cuban - US negotiations, HM01 wouldn't update for a much longer time as a sign of good will (which would be understood by those on the inside and maybe some savvy DXers, but not perceived by the average American who doesn't own a SW radio or give a hoot about spy numbers stations)....

But for those of us who live for this kind of stuff, I remain
