Carl,

I would also recommend checking out the web sdr at the University of Twente
in the Netherlands http://websdr.ewi.utwente.nl:8901/.  From there you are
able to hear most stations and the chat box is pretty active at linking
number stations and other interesting stuff that is on the air. Since it is
online your location is a lot less important.
