[Spooks] 14375 Khz and a possible on air appearance of 'Pedro'

Lol what was it? An AT&T 900 cell phone in debug mode with a little software... 

During the time of the Gulf War, I could tell a numbers transmission was coming up by the sound of the transmitter hum.  I knew 5-9 MHz so well, I only had to check my Klingenfuss guide if I heard something very obscure. I had every normally heard station memorized from Alaska to Argentina, from Europe to Kamchatka. 

One month, propagation was right for the whole month. I could hear the Black Sea fleet, and HF phone traffic out of the region.  I don't completely understand Russian, but could tell the differences between native Russians and those from other regions.  (I can also tell Arabic from Farsi, but as ever, only know words that could get me into trouble) ;-)

Jeez what a radio geek, huh? :-)
