I caught that transmission as well. At first I thought it was M08, but instead it was just one continuous string of cut numbers. It ended at 0555 UT. The next hour (0600) it was on 10345khz (IIRC) and had the same format, I didn't make a recording. 5855 had a good signal here in SW Florida. -Justin (aka oar9fi on #wunclub on IRC)

CUBA: 5855 kHz (or thereabouts) -- HM01 "missing" by 0505 UT (when I began
search). Carrier only (seemed like it was there for awhile). Then to my
amazement (and amusement), "The Cuban Lady" began 'her' transmission:
"Uno uno uno uno uno..." (lost count of the unos) then a short break, followed
by
"dos dos dos dos dos..." (didn't bother to count the doses) followed by
Computer data transmission(?) for a few seconds and then....
Morse code for the next 41 minutes or so (from around 0514 UT until abrupt end).
At times there appeared to my untrained ear to be RTTY (radio teletype
transmissions) in the background amongst the static.

Apparently, HM01 was "hijacked" at 05 UT by what is referred to as M08a (usually
found at such places as 7554 kHz when noticed) for this "special" transmission.
If anybody was able to record the Morse code portion of the program, they maybe
able to translate it far better than I (whose Morse code knowledge is basically
ZERO-- other than knowing what it is when I hear it).

For the record, HM01 was not to be found at 06 UT (by me, that is) but was found
at 07 UT @ its usual spot on the dial (9330 kHz); this time, WBCQ was actually
putting up a fight against the usually more powerful HM01 signal: so much so
that while I was able to get the numbers of the day (which are as follows:

51835 // 83381 // 22574 // 15441 // 50182 // 08444), I can not be sure that this
is the correct sequence-- in other words, 51835 could be number 6, in which case
83381 would be the first number, etc.

Is it my imagination, or have these numbers come up recently (within the past
few months or so)? No, it is NOT my imagination-- this comes from the Numbers
and Oddities Excel file for 2013:
>From 08/22/2013, on 11435 kHz @ 1559 UT this note appears:
"back to groups 56801 22574 15441 50182 08444 51835".

Thus, the sequence for earlier today maybe best read as
83381 (replacing 56801) // 22574 // 15441 // 50182 // 08444 // 51835

However, one record for August 31, 2013 shows 51835 as position 1, 83381, etc.
as the remaining numbers and a second record for that day has this note:
 ?2 2 2 2 2 tape hung up at 1559 then 56801 etc at 1600?.
A bunch of 2?s?. Perhaps this explains the 1s and 2s at 05 UT (but where was the
Morse Code back in August?)

Has it been noticed that a Numbers Station like this will repeat most if not all
of their groups with a delay of months between such repetitions? Does this
repetition speak to the real nature of the "one time pad" -- that it might be
far more than a ONE TIME pad???? Or is this simply a coincidence that five of
the six groups were originally transmitted in the exact same order by the same
numbers station just over five months ago?
To be potentially continued by your intrepid reporter:

Shawn From Flushing NY
(who is still trying to outwit outlast and survive without being on that TV
show)
