As a side note, and apopos of nothing, I came across dead air on 13479 KHz on 2013-09-27 at 08:30 UTC.  Well, almost dead air: it sounded like a never-ending loop of the Emergency Broadcast System alert tone on USB.  A quick perusal of the latest N&O suggests that it was M32, but as I heard nothing that identified the broadcast, I can't be sure.
