I like it when a discussion does move a little from topic
occasionally, keeps the conversation from going stale!

I also made an inverter once, I used it to initially power a 15W
fridge lamp from a 9V battery, I tweaked it and made it into a very
small electric shocker to zap friends at school, I then tweaked it a
bit more an up rated it until I accidently burnt through my thumb
nail. It hurt like hell and smelled of burnt flesh. I managed to use
it to light a 6 foot neon lamp without even physically touching it so
long as the other end was grounded. I'd love to get back into
construction again.

As for replying to the wrong messages, easily done, my mobile phone is
too small and I can't quite tell who I am replying to due to the small
screen, only that I am on the right thread.
