In the tampa bay area i'm getting mostly, clear shortwave channels in spanish.

Only one number station at 5.90hz.

In doing a "paranormal" experiment with SW, I tend to try to tune into droning or static channels in key number designations. I just got a new basic SW radio, it stops at 5hz unfortunatly. But it has a digital readout which allows you to dial in more specific number designations.

When the spanish one ends, then in comes a religous channel. I remember an episode of the _Untouchables_ where the black mafia were running a numbers scam over the radio. What they would do is read off the winning numbers a bible chapters and verses.

Granted, you do find the "guilt channels" on AM. eg. Catholic broadcasts. But usually people saying hail marys. These channels seem to have some private or charity funding. Why are they broadcasting bible storys? Protestants are reformed Lutherans. Hence the name.

Traditionally, the lay did not have knowlege of the bible. The term library came from the concept where they "bury the lies". The books used to be chained to the shelves. This was illustrated in the movie _The name of the rose_ with Sean Connery.

Bible studies pointed at catholics broadcasted on SW where spy stations in spanish drift in and out, kind of rather.... bothers me.
