[Spooks] Iris system

Hi,
I had a conversation about number stations with a canadian soldier
specialised in encrypted communications. He told me about the Iris system.
Since this system, they use numbers transmissions only if the Iris system
brake down. He also told me that most of number stations transmited in
North america are only trainings for the rookies. He didn't want to tell
me which voice Canada uses, neither the sex nor the language.

After a moment, I had to stop the conversation because he became very
suspicious about me: "why do you care about number stations? Do you sell
your recordings and schedules to some people? Do you know it's dangerous
to have these kind of info in your computer? etc...."

I'm wondering if someone in the spook community had problems with GRC or
CIA or whoever because of his strange hobby?

I'm also wondering if somebody knows how sounds an Iris communication.
Anybody has recordings?
