This is somewhat related to the listserv I guess; I'm wondering if other
people have had a hassle when going through security at the airport. I
travel frequently (throughout Canada and to Europe, though not to the US
recently) and every time I go through security my bags get hand searched
because I take my little SW with me...I get asked quite a few questions,
maybe people think that I'm trying to get my messages from the field! (Then
again Canada couldn't run a good espionage network out of a paper bag...)

Bill O'Reilly should stick to loofahs. So what if Canadians are subversive?
Be proud. Anyone with a radio is considered subversive by today's
proliferating
army of hallway monitors. Passing thru "safety goons' gauntlet" to board
transportation, sometimes the radio passes without undue suspicion, but the
loop?
They know they have a real menace.
