In answer to your question concerning E03a/E04; the correct answer is
supplied by the current ENIGMA Control List [Issue 20]:

It states,

E03a YL  USB,Cherry Ripe
E04  DELETED, should be logged as E03a

The history is that it was originally logged as a separate station from E03
but on discovery of all the traits being alike, bar the intro tune it became
E03a.

As such it is incorrect to use E04 in any context.
