[Spooks] French Intel in CW

Hi,
I wonder ...
today (daytime) the French Intel (I think it's M51, the
5LGs with BT NR xx M HH:MM:SS YYYY NR preamble)
was on different 5 MHz channels daytime today
(5267.5 and 5345 kHz at least). Because of the daytime
conDX I wonder where are the targets of these transmissions?
Even here in Germany, next to France...hi, the signals are
weak. If there are targets (...hi) they could be
a) in France itself (why the French Intel supply french agents
in France with CW crypto transmissions)
b) in neighboring countries (all are "friends"), but even when
the french intel has a large network of agents working
undercover, illegal in Germany (etc.) the conDX are not really good
to reach them, except they would have large "professional"
communication equipments (as agents in the fields? hi)
c) or maybe to reach their diplomatic missions in other central
european contries. These should have good, high-end
equipment, but.... or
d) maybe just for fun, to let the morse code sing a song ;-)
Is this really a transmission by the intelligence for agents abroad
or maybe the MIL HQ to reach MIL bases in France itself.
But the "system" of their morse characters which were send,
are not really good to listen with the human ears.
Given too quick for most MIL ops (...hi) and the signs
sounds not like the usual did/dah lenght norms.
The signals sounds more for automatic reception.
Looks not like another morse training lesson, as FAV22.
But when it would be for automatic reception, why not using
digital modes? I would understand when they use it as
a second leg, as a kind of "emergency channel", if the
automatic communication links fail. But for this purpose
they should use more "clear" CW, which all MIL ops could
read it and not only very high skilled CW freaks.
And I think there are not many well trained CW ops still active
today in "western hemisphere" MIL services. There are some
french CW training nets (beside of FAV22) around 5-7 MHz,
but only very few of them and the OPs always sound
more "novice" as "professional", with more corrections as
information ...hi. But I never saw any spot of a real human
with "good given" CW, like you could hear on the
amateur radio bands ;-))
73, Tom
