Fort Huachuca is a training base, and some of that training is in 
communications.  Was TDY there for a week one time.  I remember it was the only base left 
with a DOD CW school after the USAF stopped teaching it.  Not sure if they 
still teach it.  Davis-Monthan is the bone yard and a new rescue squadron was 
just stood up there.  ABCCC was there for a while, may still have A-10s.  
Believe its only a flying base.

If what the Spynumbers.com web page says is true about Sam being heard
in Tucson during the daytime on 3700, he'd have to be within 500 miles
of Tucson, and quite likely much closer, perhaps within 100 to 200
miles. There are several military bases in the Tucson area, including
Davis-Monthan AFB and Fort Huachuca. Look up their web pages to see
what they do. Just an idea.
