[Spooks] Question about spy numbers

I'll echo that, I found a fabulous OLD, Philco at a yard sale for $1.00.
When I say OLD, I mean LOCTAL tube old, power supply choke wound in speaker
old, but I bought it because when I plugged it in, I heard stuff around 13
mhz, with NO antenna.
All I really did was clean it, replace a couple filter caps, and replace
the fabric covering the speaker, and its in the living room corner rite
now. Its a piece of furniture.
Never can tell what you might find. I've heard of SWL's finding working
Zenith trans-oceanic's for $5.00 at flea-bag sales. If you can find one,
they're usually well worth the time and trouble to resurrect. Schematics
are available.

You don't need a whiz-bang state of the art radio to start enjoying the hobby.
