[Spooks] Question about spy numbers

unfortunately unlike most of the well-wired gang on the Spooks mailing list
I don't have my amateur radio licence, don't have any ham radio equipment
(though I dare to dream!) yet...and unlike most of you I haven't picked up
too many numbers stations. Great to read everyone's postings though.
As for equipment? You can get into the expensive stuff like the Icom but
mine right now is a Sangean ATS-818, was given to me so I'm not sure how
much it is these days, for those on a really tight budget, Scarecrow, how
about the Grundig YB300 PE? I've got that too, about $99 Canadian, and I
take it just about everywhere. It has a digital tuner so you know what
frequency you've got.
Anyway, happy numbers hunting! And BTW I edit a column for the Canadian
International DX Club magazine, so any suggestions for my Forum column, wing
them my way.
73s, Sue

I looked up info on that Kenwood TS-850 and found it on eBay for
$540.00. That's a BIT out of my price range, considering I haven't
gotten a paycheck in over 4 months. I'll try to borrow something for
now, and maybe look into picking up the Kenwood again after I start
getting paid again.
