Hugh and all,

We have found a number of pip stations. Reception seems to be the best in
Scandinavia and N.Germany. It is possibly a navigational system in the Baltic
area. Hyperfix, Hi-Fix and Hydrotrac were roughly in this freq range but they
are all gone in Europe. The only operational systems that I know in that freq
range are BRAS and RS-10, two Russian systems. These systems were often reported
in the past but the number of active stations is decreasing. A couple of years
ago there were clusters on: 1664-1674, 1671-1684, 1677-1690, 1688-1697,
1695-1697, 1701-1715, 1758-1770, 1767-1780, 1785-1797, 1799-1812, 1810-1823,
1817-1831, 1895-????, 2079-2088, 2088-2106, 2101-2112 kHz; all BRAS and RS-10.

Anyway, these were found last night:
1710 kHz: 3-dots
1770 kHz: 1-dot
1810 kHz: 2-dots
1783 kHz: 3-dots. This one seems to cover 1780-1789 kHz. Could be one of the old
clusters. It was too weak to determine the number of stations.
