Further to Jim's comment, there is also "Codebreakers" edited by 
F.H. Hinsley and Alan Stripp.  A fascinating collection of essays 
written by people who worked at Bletchley Park describing what 
they did and how they did it with anecdotes, warts and all.  Some 
chapters are actually technical.  Published by Oxford University 
Press, 1993 and 1994 (paperback), ISBN 0-19-285304-X.
