Hi list,
I was not feeling well today, which gave me a chance to set the timers on
the radios to catch all the scheduled V2c broadcasts today. Here's the
results:
Frequencies all in AM, (times in UTC):
8097 Khz. (1802 - 1841)
8097 Khz. (1903 - 1942)
7887 Khz. (2010 - 2041) caught it in progress
6855 Khz. (2057 - 2141) Call up X2 at 2057, silent until 2104 when numbers
started. Based on the other broadcasts, the call up usually lasts until
about 04 after the hour, so this may have been minus the call up.
6797 Khz. (2200 - 2242) then a brief sentence (probably from a Radio Habanna
feed) in Spanish at 2244, the carrier went off about 30 seconds later. (I
was recording the V2c broadcast, and unfortunately just turned off the
recording program when the sentence popped on. Next time I think I'll wait
until the carrier goes off.)
All the broadcasts except the 2100, which I caught after the call up, were
for "343 72", which has been the call up of choice for the past several
days. The first ten sets were the same also. (I don't have the patience to
follow all of them!)
Apparently there are similar irregularities in broadcasts with V2c as there
are with V2a. Not surprising if the source is Cuba.
