The other things I've done in the past year is improved both antenna and
ground, per several other loggings here lately. It has made a tremendous
difference. I second everything said about that.
Mark,
I agree, a good ground makes all the difference in the world. When we lived
in West Virginia a few years ago, we lived in a mobile home. I had a Slinky
Homebrewed Antenna, and my ground was 18 ga. going to the copper feeder pipe
from the water main, which ran all the way to the street. Some 150 feet. And
you have to add all the meters and the pipe that were connect to mine. Great
reception.
Now, however, we live in a 2d floor apartment. Tell me how I can improve my
ground here. And I have not really got conductive material in the plumbing
that is preexisting.
I really would love to be able to improve my ground. Any help is appreciated.
John
