I love it!  And of course a navy would have already had allocations on the
international maritime channels where some of the first discoveries were
made (in Tasmania, of all places).

I wonder if this is becoming the standard data mode for this agency... would
explain why there are so many frequencies, and as we know everything from
plain text to weather charts to Beethoven can be passed as 1s and 0s.
