I have operated on or around that frequency when I was with Navy Mars... I
was an operator at the mars station at the SeaBee Base in Gulfport
Mississippi from about 1976 through 1979 or so... haven't been back to it
since... it's mostly "practice" and yes, the traffic ususally consists of
personal phone patches from Deigo Garcia... In this age of Satellite
telephone, it's become very archaic... except that SOMEBODY needs to keep in
practice...just in case!
