Yes, well, the truth is in the documents, not in popular entertainment
such as movies. American movies have done this all too many times;
movies such as U-571, JFK, etc. that try to pretend to be historical
but are, in fact, totally out to lunch.
You have to not let the idiots that do that sort of thing bother you.
Just do not spend the money at the movie, and explain to friends who
wasted their money there that what they saw was entertainment.
I wish it wasn't so, but that's how the movie industry is.
I stick to books when I want historical information. :-) (Unless, of
course, you hear about a movie being put together with the help of a
bona fide historian, in which case I might give it a look.)
