For those who have interest or want to test the edcode capabilities of =
their modern decoders, the Japanese east coast fishing fleet come up on =
4.190.8Khz on cw at 0330Z.=20

Their format is to identify by sequential number , starting at #1 , 2,3 =
etc. Then a separator followed by their abbreviated reporting format. =
Most usually they report wind direction, speed and temp.=20

At one time they used callsigns but have smartened up so that no =
particular report can be identified with any one ship.   Very frequently =
but not every night there will be one pair of operators who move to =
3.761Khz and exchange some very brief confidential fishing information. =
This happens around 0300-0315Z just before their net roll call.=20

After the net closes there is sometimes "chit chat", if you can read =
Japanese.=20
