  Returned recently from the Gulf area on business and was able to tote the SW along. Heres some sporadic and selected logs I was able to jot down during my stay. Equip used was DX-398 w/ RS reel antenna along with 15ft of copper wire. All intercepts were made in USB.  Corrections, comments most welcome. 15 Jan 8.992-- At 1756z, HICKAM clg MAINSAIL w/ Rdo check. No rply. 11.175-- CROUGHTON, ELMENDORF w/ an all freq. request for FIREDOME. 9.025-- ALE bursts then into voice: REACH 767 wkg. DIEGO (Metro?) for enroute hazards between Tajikastan and Ramstein. PIREP given, C-17 A/C. 6.959-- EE 5 dig. ##'s. Human voice.  Tx apparently VOX activated. 19 Jan 6.697-- Unids w/ Voice inversion6.987- YL, EE ##s 24 Jan 11.072-- at 1808z YL EE repeating 147, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 6.712-- at 1828z EAM HQF2PG by Unid. 4.270-- at 1830z YL ##s station.  Repeating PCD 4.519-- at 1831z YL ##s station repeating ?German? phrase "Un Hieving Heinzz" then into more German 10.648-- at 1843z YL EE ##'s. (Non American Voice) 28 Jan 6.754-- Unid Mil. "Papa Tango" clg ?? several times and raising ?? then into unid Lang.  11.175- at 1950z 7OPSQI via ANDREWS and DIEGO  01 Feb 9.224-- Unid Mil and Lang. Lengthy Voice Inversion then into clear voice. 06 Feb 6.770-- Unid Mil ?&lang. 69H and others: 25E, 851,582 7.956-- Unid Mil ? w/ mixed EE. RD and unid clear and secure voice w/ position report. 10 Feb 22.723-- Unid PP net. Maritime ship shore? 22.744-- Unid dispatch net ?. NCS callsign 233TRC102 also ID'ed sometimes as "Tango Radio C 102". receiving and passing "Progressive Numbers" to other units. A PO box in Bucharest Romania heard mentioned. 9.031-- ASCOT 2376 wkg ARCHITECT w/ Departure msg and SELCAL check. 3.754 or 3.753-- Active w/ time pips. 11 Feb 6.959-- At 1900z musical callup then EE YL w/ ##s 12 Feb 5.583-- Unid Brit or Aussies. MNH5 clg. 5V? several times then gone. 13 Feb 5.730-- Unid Voice Inversion. Similar to 9.224 net. NOTE: Im not a huge ##s fan, but I was impressed by the massive amounts of "numbers" traffic heard as compared to what I idlely receive here in the states. The above is only a small sample of traffic actually heard.  -------END-------
